Glue Logo We’re getting closer to launching the new Events tool for Glue: our simple web & mobile publishing tool, but first we need your feedback.

We’ve been re-working Glue, since the beginning, to be the simplest web & mobile publishing tools around. Glue should be a tool you love to use, so we want to ensure this Events tool meets your needs!

Tell us what you’d like from the Glue Events Tool by answering any of these questions.
  • How can we make it easy to enter events in Glue?
  • What info would you like to publish with each event?
  • How can we make Glue simple for you to share & publish your events?
  • In what formats would you like your events available?
  • What do/don’t you like about other event based tools?
Here are a few features we’re considering for Glue Events:
  • Multiple Event Entry
  • iCal Format
  • MicroFormats
  • Event Reminders
  • Tagging

We’d appreciate any ideas you’d like us to consider adding to the Glue Events Tool, feel free to email us at feedback@gluenow.com

OH, and here’s a sneak peek of the events tool… Gluenow.com Image: Events Sneak Peek

A tool that would be nice would be to make mass data entry through spreadsheets or a notepad file. I'm unsure about how hard this would be to code, but it would be a luxery.

What about adding events by email? That could be very coo

I think taking a cue from Gmail and 37signals would be a good idea on the interface side of things. iCal format is huge (Microformats can be easily converted to iCal - so marking them up that way kills 2 birds...) and Event Reminders are HUGE! You guys rock.

I've been holding off on implementing Glue for just this feature. Will it be possible to add events by email/phone? that would rock

Glue was made to be used with mobile devices, so we will always make it possible to use each tool in some way. ----- How do you see yourself adding events by email or by phone?

"...taking a cue from Gmail and 37signals would be a good idea on the interface side of things." -- I completely agree! Are you thinking more BaseCamp or BackPack though?

i think you should add a little bar underneath each event to seperate each entry. check out www.mikotomusic.com to see what i mean. i made that one myself but you guys should have something so people dont need to create their own <3

The easiest way I can think of to use the tool by texting from a mobile phone is to set up some kind of rule that would help populate the various fields. Perhaps this is what you meant by tagging? If so, ideally the tags would have to be short, as most texting situations require 160 characters or less. This is very exciting!

I'm in a touring band and myspace's built in tours listing thing sucks. It's really annoying to list and update shows. If you could just make sure that the events look even better on a myspace than the built in one, and are easier to use and update... I would be very happy. Adding, editing, and deleting events via text message would be awesome also. Editing might be tough to do... But I could see adding and deleting via text as a possibility.
