thanks a ton! after seeing this post i ended up getting the devil and daniel johnston from netflix and it was really eye opening and pretty inspiring.

Sweet! I'm glad you enjoyed the film! He documented his life so thoroughly! I'm amazed at some of the tape recordings he had created throughout his life. He managed to document some really significant moments. Like when Thurston Moore and another member of Sonic Youth tracked him down after Daniel's show at CBGB's where he was battling some demons.

Yeah, talk about a well-documented life. It's always been my thought that we all have these problems, some are just more visible than others in some people.
